I am delighted to announce the WSET courses at the CRDO Valencia, in addition to Voravins in Paterna. The first WSET Level 1 course will be take place on the 13 and 14 of November.
The CRDO Valencia does an excellent job promoting the wines of Valencia both within the region and to a broader audience around the world. In my conversations with the MªCarmen Martinez, Secretary General, and the team at the CRDO it was very obvious that they appreciate the importance of wine education on all levels.
The lecture theatre and tasting facilities at the D.O’s headquarters in Calle Quart are excellent and I am very much looking forward to this partnership.
The prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses are available in 70 countries around the world. Now wine professionals and enthusiasts in Valencia have the opportunity to take these courses and if successful receive a certificate that is recognised around the world.
The WSET courses will provide those working in the Valencia wine community with an opportunity to learn about all aspects of wine and have a more complete understanding of the world of wine.
Wines from Valencia will be tasted alongside other wines from around the world in order to appreciate and understand why each wine is different and the key influences that determine the characteristics of each wine.
We will also be offering the courses in English. Valencia not only exports its wines worldwide but it is also becoming a destination for more tourists than ever before. So learning about wine in English will be very useful when presenting wines abroad and to visitors to the region.
